Arrive at Paro International Airport or Phuentsholing border. Pick up by guide and transfer to capital city Thimphu. Check in at hotel. Evening walk around Clock Tower square. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Full day Thimphu sightseeing: Buddha Dordenma (Giant Buddha point), National Memorial Chorten, Simply Bhutan Museum, Takin Preserve, and Tashichho Dzong. Overnight stay in Thimphu.

Drive from Thimphu to Punakha via Dochula Pass (10,300 ft) offering 360-degree views of snow-capped Eastern Himalayas. Visit Punakha Dzong, located at the confluence of Pho Chhu & Mo Chhu rivers, and walk across Punakha Suspension Bridge. Overnight stay in Punakha.

Day trip to Phobjikha Valley (Gangtey), one of Bhutan's most beautiful glacial valleys. Visit Gangtey Monastery and spot rare black-necked cranes. Return to Punakha for overnight stay.

Drive from Punakha back to Paro valley. Visit Ta Dzong (National Museum) and Rinpung Dzong. Try traditional Bhutanese archery. Overnight stay in Paro.

Highlight Day: Hike to Paro Taktsang (Tiger's Nest Monastery) clinging to a cliff 900 meters above Paro valley floor. Evening hot stone bath to relax tired muscles. Overnight stay in Paro.

Excursion to Chele La Pass (13,000 ft), the highest motorable pass in Bhutan, with views of Mt. Jhomolhari. Evening shopping for Bhutanese handicrafts & textiles. Overnight stay in Paro.

Check out after breakfast. Transfer to Paro Airport for your departure flight.
